A National General Strike is set to take place in Portugal today (3 June), bringing fresh disruption to travel.
The walkout is expected to include multiple trade unions, including cabin crew staff who are members of the SNPVAC union.
The president of SNPVAC, Ricardo Penarróias, told the Portuguese publication Jornal de Negócios he expected around 500 flights to be cancelled.
He added that this is likely to affect easyJet and Ryanair flights as well as those from the flagship Portuguese carrier, TAP Air Portugal.
