Following record-breaking high temperatures, flood warnings have been issued in four UK locations today (Tuesday, 2 June).
One, which had been issued to Saredon Brook at Standeford near Coven, has since been removed, though the UK government said “a Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, so flooding of roads and low-lying areas” is expected.
The Met Office said: “Local flooding is possible but not expected from surface water in parts of England on Monday and Tuesday. Land, roads and some properties may flood and there may be travel disruption.”
