US President Donald Trump speaks at an event with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin on May 21, 2026 Donald Trump raised eyebrows this weekend after he yet again shared a series of provocative posts on his Truth Social platform, including one that appeared to depict Iran draped in the American flag.
The image showed a map of the Middle East labeled with countries Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
The country of Iran was filled in using the US flag.
It was simply titled, “The United States of the Middle East?”
