After all, according to Stuart Brooking, a local manager for Devon and Cornwall at Woodlands.co.uk, now’s a great time to start foraging. 

“Spring is when the woodland really wakes up,” and is filled with ingredients which “have been part of British cooking for generations,” he said.

“Cooking with ingredients you’ve gathered yourself changes how you think about food... It encourages you to slow down, notice the landscape around you, and appreciate just how much flavour the British countryside offers.”
