But for Kirsty Brunt, 42, the challenges went beyond achy joints and scan anxiety. In fact, she describes her third pregnancy as feeling ‘like the world was ending.’

The mental health social worker, from Lancashire, was 18 weeks pregnant with her third child, Phoenix, when she noticed a lump on her breast.
