“At the beginning of November 2019, the station drew up yet another revised plan. It envisaged dramatic savings of €60m over three years. Staff numbers would be cut by between 200 and 300. The RTÉ Guide would be sold. The Limerick studio would be closed. Lyric FM would move from Limerick to Cork. The National Symphony Orchestra would relocate to the National Concert Hall. Aertel, the teletext service, would cease to exist.
