Teen ‘behind bomb hoax at Peter Kay show’ removed from court for undressing

A teenager accused of making a bomb hoax at a Peter Kay show that led to the comedian being rushed off stage had to be removed from court when he started stripping off.

Omar Majed, 19, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court via video-link from HMP Brinsford yesterday charged with an offence of communicating false information to police.

But the hearing was cut short after prison officers removed the defendant from the room when he started to take off his prison-issue grey tracksuit bottoms.
