Two much-loved UK restaurant chains with over 200 locations closing for good

The remainder of the Beefeater and Brewers Fayre restaurants across the UK are set to close their doors for good across 200 locations.

Owned by Whitbread, the company, which also owns Premier Inn, said the locations, which are normally inside the hotels, will close soon.

Some 30,000 employees currently work at the locations across the UK and Ireland.

Dominic Paul, Whitbread’s chief executive, said: ‘We plan to convert all our remaining branded restaurants to an integrated food and beverage offer that is preferred by our hotel guests and will unlock the addition of more highly profitable extension rooms.
